Inspirational Quotes #71-80 of 100

May 31st 2009 in Inspirational Quotes, Personal Growth

I am me and that is the only person I will ever be. Some have a natural ease and a clear sense of who they are and yet others seem to wander in-search of who they should be? I dedicate these Quotes to those who have yet to decide that they should just be!

71. “He who trims himself to suit everyone will soon whittle himself away.” Raymond Hull

72. “All my life I had been looking for something, and everywhere I turned someone tried to tell me what it was.  I accepted their answers too, though they were often in contradiction and even self-contradictory.  I was naive.  I was looking for myself and asking everyone except myself questions which I, and only I, could answer.  It took me a long time and much painful boomeranging of my expectations to achieve a realization everyone else appears to have been born with:  that I am nobody but myself.”  Ralph Ellison

73.  “Always be a first-rate version of yourself, instead of a second-rate version of somebody else.”  Judy Garland

74.  “Never be bullied into silence.  Never allow yourself to be made a victim.  Accept no one’s definition of your life; define yourself.”  Harvey Fierstein

75.  “Never explain yourself. Your friends don’t need it and your enemies won’t believe it.”  Belgicia Howell

76.  “Never apologize for showing feeling.  When you do so, you apologize for the truth.”  Benjamin Disraeli

77.  “I am much better employed from every point of view, when I live solely for my own satisfaction, than when I begin to worry about the world. The world frightens me, and a frightened man is no good for anything.” George Gissing

78. “The only man who is really free is the one who can turn down an invitation to dinner without giving an excuse.”

Jules Renard

79.  “It is better to be hated for what you are than to be loved for something you are not.”

Andre Gide

80. “I think of life itself now as a wonderful play that I’ve written for myself, and so my purpose is to have the utmost fun playing my part.”

Shirley MacLaine

100 insprirational Quotes 61-70

We have a choice every morning when we open our eyes, I choose to do my best to live from the highest point within myself. I may not always succeed but I know for me that is the best place to start. Some days this proves to be a very difficult task. On those days I must constantly remind myself that it is OK to choose peace and happiness over chaos. Others in my life may not agree and that is OK, I understand (That) is simply their choice.

The Way Of Our Bento

I am teaching my daughter’s to make Obento lunchboxes this Summer and these are our very first ones. Though we do not have many supplies at this time, we improvised with the 2 little boxes we found at a local Asian market a few weeks ago, and The box I used was simply an Instant Asian noodle bowl with a lid. Our Pudding dessert and Tamari Sauce are in small containers found at the Dollar Tree Store down the road! Nothing fancy but very functional for us!
